THE EXAM, EXPLAINED

TestAS is an academic aptitude test for international applicants. Your university decides how it uses the result and which module you need.

OUR PRACTICE FOCUS

Digital TestAS.
Core + your subject.

The Core Module tests general reasoning with three subtests. The subject module connects academic reasoning to your intended study field. Both modules are required in the official test.

Core: approximately 90 minutes including instructions and optional short desk breaks. A 30-minute break separates the Core and subject modules. Subject testlets contain 4–8 related questions. Our Core simulation includes the three 25-minute task blocks, with an untimed transition before each new block.

Official test versions are available in German and English. This Lab currently teaches and delivers practice in English.

Choose your direction.

Digital TestAS offers six subject modules. Select according to your degree plans and university instructions; a broad field match here is a guide, not an admission decision.

The digital subject questions use texts, tables, graphs and formulas, with four choices and one correct response. Subject practice in the Lab is coming very soon. You can build your foundation with the Core module in the meantime.

At a test centre

Digital and paper TestAS are delivered at licensed centres. Follow the official booking instructions and bring the identity document required by your confirmation.

Use the real pace

Learn untimed first, then practise the published block timings. Written notes are prohibited in digital TestAS; paper TestAS can use supplied notepaper.

TestAS has no universal pass/fail threshold. Universities set their own requirements. Lab results describe your practice accuracy; they are not an official TestAS score or percentile.
